If you’re a fan of Game of Thrones, it’s likely that you’ll have found yourself dreaming of a holiday to Croatia, one of the filming locations for the hit TV series.
The fictional landscapes have become as popular as the blood-drenched gripping storylines, with King’s Landing – which is filmed near the coastal Croatian town of Dubrobnik – being one of the most popular.
And it’s not hard to see why: Dubrovnik Old Town dates back to the 16th century and is encircled by magnificent stone walls that are lapped by the glistening Adriatic Sea. A UNESCO world heritage site, it is consolidating its place as an upmarket travel destination with a flurry of smart hotels.
